Snowplow Competition

All contestants MUST produce a VALID CDL at time of driving test. No one will drive without a VALID CDL. Seat belt must be secure before the competitor begins. The ONLY PERMITTED ALTERATION to the driving equipment will be seat and mirror adjustments!

The first task is the sweeping curve with a maximum value of 200 points. Bumping or knocking down cones is a 25-point penalty per hit.

The second task is the roundabout with a maximum value of 200 points. Bumping or knocking down cones is a 10-point penalty per hit; only completing half of the circle is a 200-point penalty; and an incorrect exit is a 100-point penalty.

The third task is the slalom course with a maximum value of 100 points. Bumping or knocking down any marker is a 20-point penalty per hit; not completing the slalom is a 100-point penalty.

The fourth task is the stop/backup/turn with a maximum value of 200-points. Bumping or knocking down cones is a 25-point penalty per hit; backing more than once is a 25-point penalty; touching the barricade is a 100-point penalty; failure to sound horn after stop is a 25-point penalty; and not completing the is a 200-point penalty. Deductions for the distance from the dock (barricade):
6-12”   25-point penalty
13-18”   50-point penalty
19-24”   75-point penalty
> 24”   100-point penalty

The final task is the stop line with a maximum value of 100-points. Failure to sound horn after stop is a 25-point penalty; and failure to stop on or before the line is a 100-point penalty. Deductions for the distance from the stop line:
6-12”   25-point penalty
13-18”   50-point penalty
19-24”   75-point penalty
> 24”   100-point penalty

Since this is a TIMED course competition, the competition will continue until HORN is SOUNDED by the driver at the completion of his/her run.

In the event of a DRIVING SKILLS POINT TIE, COURSE TIMES will be used to determine the TIEBREAKER.

ANY form of recklessness or DANGEROUS driving will NOT BE TOLERATED and will result in DISQUALIFICATION!
